Our team comes from a wide range of backgrounds, including professional accounting, IT, software and web development. We combine our different areas of expertise to build the best solution for automating and streamlining business and accounting processes.


Sean Hodgins, CEO

Sean Hodgins, CA, CPA (Illinois) founded QCDocs Systems in early 2006. Mr. Hodgins was formerly a partner with Quantum Outsourcing Group LLP and has provided contract CFO and controllership services to a wide variety of private and public companies in Vancouver, California and Nevada, including LumiCyte, Inc., Mobile Operandi Communications Corp, Level4 Biometrics and BC Advantage Funds.

Mr. Hodgins worked for six years as a manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Vancouver and two years as a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in San Jose, California, specializing in assurance services for technology companies.

Mr. Hodgins holds a B.Comm. from the University of British Columbia.


Kirill Tchimerine, CTO

Kirill Tchimerine is a software engineer who has been instrumental in leading the programming for many companies in such diverse areas as mobile entertainment, ISP development, distributed accounting and several financial services. Specializing in a variety of programming languages, Kirill has developed software for companies all over the world from Moscow, Russia to Durban, South Africa, Massachusetts, California and British Columbia.

In 2006, Kirill co-founded QCDocs Systems Inc. after developing some initial applications designed to improve the standardization of document naming conventions for the Quantum Outsourcing Group. Combining his past experience developing applications that integrate with Quickbooks, the world’s largest supplier of accounting software to the small and medium sized markets, Kirill recognized the larger vision for such an application and has been instrumental in building the Beta version of the software. Kirill has his Bachelors of Computer Science degree from the University of Communication and Informatics, Moscow, Russia.


Larry Morningstar, Business Development

Since 1996, Larry has been engaged in business advisory, corporate finance, consulting, sales and communication roles for numerous SME’s in western Canada. He has been particularly interested in championing the development and financing of companies and guiding them in maximizing their opportunity and profit potential. He recently completed a qualifying transaction as President of a CNQ-listed company and previously was VP, Business Development for a Vancouver-based private investment banking firm.

Prior to relocating to Vancouver in 1995, he spent approximately 10 years in the software and consulting industries in the Toronto area. He has worked for Microsoft Canada Inc., various business software solution providers and a boutique management consulting firm that worked primarily with Fortune 500 clients.

He holds a B.Comm, Finance from the University of Windsor.


Mike Knapp, Technology Consultant

Mike Knapp has spent his life helping companies reach their goals with a unique blend of technology, business and communications skills. He has worked in many technology roles, including as a teacher, project manager and at every level from technical support to CIO. For the past several years, Mike has been a technology consultant, focused on helping small to medium-sized businesses maximize the value of their technology investment.

After a decade working for large companies, Mike decided to bring his experience, passion and best practices to smaller companies and startups. He is a seasoned entrepreneur who has been involved in all areas of small business and understands the importance of having the right technology solutions.


Jahzel Hintay Misner, Designer

Jahzel Misner is a designer specializing in interface architecture, graphics, and web design. She has designed interfaces for Belimo Air Controls, GoFast, Knapp & Associates, and Tandem Accounting. Jahzel joined the QCDocs team in Summer 2007 to help prepare QCDocs for a commercial launch. Previously she worked for Electronic Arts as a Central team point of contact in the QA department.

Jahzel holds a Bachelors of Science in Interaction Design from Simon Fraser University's School of Interactive Arts.
